Canon Goddy Muhanguzi Muhumuza is the Executive of East African Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency [EACREEE]. He holds Master of Laws (Environmental law and Policies) from Makerere University; Diploma in Legal Practice (LDC); Bachelor of Laws (Second Class with Honors, UPPER DIVISION) from Makerere University; Diploma in Business Studies (UDBS) National College of Business Studies; and various International Certificates including: Certificate in Labelling. France; Certificate of completion of International Training in Genetic Resources and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)-Bangkok, Thailand; Certificate of Advanced International Training in Genetic Resources and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) - Upsala, Sweden; Certificate in Research Administration and Mentorship Support Grants - MESAU MEPI,USA; Certificate in for completion of a month seminar in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) – China; Certificate of attendance and participation in Common Wealth Lawyers Association Conference-Sydney, Australia; Certificate in Court Connected Mediation- High Court, Family Division, Uganda; Certificate of attendance and participation in CLA- Conference- Hyderabad, India; Certificate in Intellectual Property Rights Development for Developing Countries, China; and, Certificate in Corporate Governance for Competitiveness and Sustainability, Uganda.
Canon Goddy Muhanguzi Muhumuza has over 20 years’ experience in Management, Legal Advisory and Practice and he is a court accredited mediator. He has been the Legal Advisor and Chairperson Legal & Disciplinary Committee, Federation of All Africa Sports Union (FASU). He served as a law Lecturer at Uganda Christian University, Professional Adviser- Law Development Centre (LDC); Assistant Lecturer, Accounting I&II and Management and Examiner (NCBS) and is a Board Member to various Boards.
Canon Goddy Muhanguzi Muhumuza has also been widely participated in meeting/Training and workshops on Renewable Energy and Efficiency- The First Assembly of International Solar Alliance (ISA) on 2-5 October 2018 at Great Noida, India, as an Observer/Special Invitee and, on behalf of EACREEE, entered and Signed a Joint Declaration/MoU between EACREEE and ISA-for the Promotion of Solar Energy Globally; The ISA 2nd Assembly 30-31 October 2019, New Delhi, India; IRENA 17th Meeting of the Council 25-26 June 2019, Abu Dhabi –where he was a Guest Speaker; Community of Champions 18th October 2019, Dakar, Senegal; One Planet Summit-Africa Pledge L’ENGAGEMENT-14th March 2019, Nairobi, Kenya; The Africa Renewable Energy Initiative (AREI), High Level Forum on Renewable Energy, 11-14 June 2019, Conakry, Guinea-among others.
